GRAFTON POLICE DEPARTMENT YOUTH POLICE ACADEMY


The Grafton Police Department will be hosting a free Youth Police Academy from August 7th-August 11th, from 8am to 3pm at Grafton Police Headquarters. The program is open to incoming 7th and 8th grade students. The Grafton Youth Police Academy is a police-led program offered to students who have an interest in law enforcement, military or emergency services. The program offers a variety of activities and lessons aimed at building leaders in our community. The students will be exposed to many activities and speakers in the field of law enforcement. A sample of speakers and events we have scheduled already include:


Evidence Collection/Crime Scene Investigation
CPR/First Responder
K-9 Demonstration
Jail Visit- Worcester County House of Corrections
Motor Vehicle Law/Mock Traffic Stops
CEMLEC SWAT
Team Building/Leadership Exercises
Mass. State Police/Life Flight Helicopter Visit
Marching and Drill Exercise


Application deadline is Friday, June 2, 2023 by 5pm.
