Question #10: Have you ever appeared in any court as defendant for any criminal or criminal traffic offense, excluding non-criminal traffic offenses?

The key word is appeared. Understand that "ever appeared" includes all adult and juvenile appearances. It does not matter if you were found not guilty or if the charges were dismissed or continued without a finding. You must disclose all activity that will be on your criminal history. If you have a sealed record, you only have to indicate that you have a sealed record. You do not have to disclose what is in the sealed record. The Board of Probation will tell us if the sealed record is a disqualifier against you.

Having been arrested and convicted of a crime does not necessarily prohibit you from getting a License to Carry or Firearms Identification Card.

Failure to disclose these charges will result in your application being denied for being untruthful.
