Town of Grafton TRIAD is working in conjunction with the Grafton Police Department

 National Association of Triads Inc.

How the Police helps Seniors:

Seniors, you can work with your police Department.

The United States Bill of Rights, Amendment IV to the Constutuion states;

"the right of people to secure in their persons, houses papers and effects against unreasonable serches and seizures, shall ot be violated, and no Warrants shall issue,but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particulary describing the place to be serarched, and the persons or things to be seized"

Keeping this in mind, the Grafton Police Department wil work toward the prevention of crime, detectionof crime and the apprehension of those responsible for the commission of crimes.  They will promote the highest standards of the police profession through selection and training of law enforcement officers and pledge and strive for the highest degree of respect for law and order throughout the Town of Grafton.  The Police can also be the Senior's friend.  They are anxious to serve you.  Is there a need for "Conflict Resolution"?  Can certain acts of persons resul in tragic consequences?  Truse your Police.  They will respect your privacy.  You will remain ananymous.  Are there persons who violate Rules of the Road or create unnecessary noise on your street?  Let the Police know.  Again, you will remain anonymous.  Do you observe situations which ,to you, just don't seem right?  Call your Police.  They will investigate and determine the necessary course of action.  If everything appears to be with in the law, the Police will appreciate your observations, your concern and your call just the same.  It may have prevented a tragedy.  Then, due to our congested streets and highways, you may become involved in an accident.  The Law states that accidents causing personal injury and property damage over $1000.00 must be reported to the Police.  You, most certainly, must notify your insurance company and fill out the an Accident Report Form.  Your Police can be of great help in this regard.  The Accident reconstruction team will determine where the fault lies.  Their report can be accessed by and Attorney and your Insurance Company.  When you are involved in an accident or you observe one, make that 9-1-1 call.  Give your location to the 9-1-1 dispatcher.  Also let them know if there is personal injury ofr the appearance of personal injury or a fire.  That way the necessary equipment alon with Police Crusiers will be dispatched.  if your help is not required, don't take the chang of becoming an additional victim.  Leave the sceme.  Leave it to the professional responders.
